the overnight and that will continue. let me zoom in on this area over here. we also have embedded storms around waldorf this evening. pushing in to golden beach n to eagle harbor. definitely be prepared for that. we need the rain. we coulde about two to three inches when it's done and it'll be done into tuesday and then by wednesday we will see more sun back in the forecast. also what we will have to deal with the rain, we have breezy conditions as well as we go in through tonight and then the breezes will be picking up into tomorrow and tuesday. look forward to that as well. then as we check out what's going on right now the temperature at 62 degrees. the humidity at 90% and the winds hollywooding steady. the seven day forecast. we will look at the tropics coming up. >> its been a long wait here in the state. we are just hours from pulling the lever on a slot machine.

the casino plans to open tomorrow. days ahead of schedule. cheryl the gambler connor is here with more. >> reporter: that's right. i'm ready to go. 1500 machines are in place and ready to take our tok ens. hollywood casino invited a thousand people yesterday and the event went well enough to hand over that license. empty seats but not for long. on sunday the lottery director signed a license allowing hollywood casino to open. it's the first to open in the state after voters approved it nearly two years ago. >> we have 1500 of the newest machines on the market from seven of the top manufacturers in the country. >> reporter: slot machines but no traditional table games. still the marketing director said it's closeness to baltimore is an advantage over the competition in delaware. the cecil county location is

about 040 miles from the stay. >> we have some that are tradition 58al and some that have incredible lcd, digital screens. >> reporter: the 35,000 square foot floor includes two restaurants and is putting people back to work. visit 350 employees, 80% of which are from the counties. to be the first i think is just exciting for everybody. >> reporter: perryville is the first of five locations in the state. others still have big hurdles before opening. the casino planned is going back to the voters in november. o known its don't want it at the mall. the operators in cecil say they are proud to pave the way and attract gamblers from other states. >> we have received many calls and interest from customers new jersey, pennsylvania, washington dc, asking when we

will open. >> reporter: and now that hollywood casino has the license they will host a soft opening tomorrow. the grand opening is scheduled for this thursday. the casino plans to open every day from eight to two. the operators say it'll generate at least $100 million yearly. cheryl connor. >> all is right after throwing four interceptions joe threw three td's today and bolden -- the ravens opened the bank for business and there is ray against the browns. first quarter rice with the run here. 22 yards, ray would have to leave with a sprained flee. still to early to see how early it is. come on ray, get up. ? . bolden, 13-yard touchdown.

earlier this weekend the action on the field took a backseat as a team remembered their fallen teammate. >> joey d. i say number you say 30, number 30, number 30,. >> boston high school remembered joey, he is the 14- year-old player musician who was killed in a tragic accident. it was the team's first time on the field since the loss of their friend and teammate. >> don't have to go to boston or patterson, the entire community is behind this boston team and this family right now. >> he was laid to rest earlier last week. firefighters are family and so fitting they celebrate life together and tonight baltimore county gathered to remember 47 career and volunteer members who died this year while out of

democrats in new england. republicans hit the talk shows to promote the new pledge former. they say democrats at fault for pushing, not to extend middle class tax cuts beyond the november elections. >> it'll be the most irresponsible thing i have seen since i have been in washington. >> democrats shot back blaming republicans for holding up the legislation by insisting tax cuts for the wealthy will stay in place. there is a lot of buzz about a website that offers incredible deals to local restaurants. the deals real but consumer reporter points out some downsides that often even surprise newcomers so you don't waste your money. >> everybody loves a deal when they are dining out. these days many love the great deals on the website restaurant.com. some don't find out until it's to late that the deals can sometimes come with a catch.

bev couldn't believe the deals on restaurant.com. the popular website offers 25- dollar gift cards to many local restaurants for just ten dollars. sometimes even less. bev said she was disappointed on a friday night at one restaurant. >> the certificate didn't say anything about sunday through thursday but when i got to the restaurant on friday night it stated that they didn't take the certificates on fridays and saturdays. >> reporter: sure enough we found a sign saying no certificates on weekends. two other times she said by the time she went to use the gift card the restaurant was closed. >> i found a couple of places where i purchased the certificate and then went out to the location to dine there and its been closed. >> reporter: the good news, restaurant.com finally agreed to repay already for what she said but the website redeeming riches in an article called what's the catch warns of downsides.

it says read the fine print because in many cases you can't use the certificates on weekends, you often can't use them on alcohol, tax or tips and most restaurants have a 30 to 50-dollar minimum purchase when you use them. bev will read more carefully next time. >> what i felt was that it was a bait and switch. >> reporter: restaurant.com offers great discounts and gift cards you won't find anywhere else but you may want to check with the restaurant before you buy one just to make sure it'll be accepted when you want to use it so you don't waste your money. >> now, the forecast certified most accurate by weather rate and maryland's most powerful doppler radar. >> like book ends. rabe rained on at the tailgate and coming to work. in the middle nothing at all. >> we had periods of dry weather. i know it wasn't good for the game but you give and take. >> it was okay. >> not to bad.

let me show you some of the numbers before we talk about the rain. we need that rain. look at the rain there. we got about a tenth of an inch and it'll just keep adding up through time. when it's all said and done especially around the coastal areas we should see up to maybe three inch, two to three inches of rainfall. that's good news. that will put a dent in that rain gauge. what's going on for today? we came in for 72 degrees. the low at 62 degrees. we were above that. check out the normal. the record highs in 1970. it was 95 degrees. it was 40 degrees. so long ago and we didn't set any type of record. the highs came in elsewhere around 75 in frederick. winchester at 71 degrees. we were seasonable for the most

part. we had lots of cloud around. we had a few peeks of sunshine. we are at 62 degrees into baltimore. check out oakland. 52 degrees there. its cool, 60 degrees in charlottesville and 64 york. i'm talking about rain. it'll be the big situation, its big factor as we go into time. forecasting rain for the overnight. with that we will have the chance for the rain as we go through the rest of tonight, tomorrow and into tuesday to make sure you have the rain gear. things aren't looking to bad. we are -- at least it's pretty much gone. not affecting us. that's what we like to see. as we take a look at what's going here, circled it. we have the area of low pressure and the national hurricane center thinks this could be something.

it could be a tropical storm over the next 48 hours but it's 10% chance but the reason why we are watching this so much is if it does get its act together it'll move fought north. you can see it'll be in the gulf of mexico and could impact the lower 48. we will watch it closely. speaking of that looking in to my future ball here and we can see what's going on. i will pull it in motion and there is that influx of moisture that will move in with that area of low pressure. we could see plenty of rainfalling as we go into monday and tuesday. definitely make sure you have the rain gear. i wouldn't be surprised if my tomorrow -- we have a flood advisory around the area and maybe a flood watch, warnings as we head in to the next several days here. overnight tonight, 61 degrees. showers, temperatures cooler, than when what we saw the next before. then we work into tomorrow and the temperature only at 70. we are going to have the temperatures held down with the cloud cover and the rain and i

wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get up to 70, maybe the upper 60s, see that. showers possible and the thunderstorms are possible as we go go into the afternoon and then much more as we go into tomorrow night. it's just going to continue. once again for tonight we have the periods of rain in the forecast but then the steadier rain by tomorrow and tomorrow night. 67 showers with storms possible once again and here is that seven day. it'll be a little bit on the breezy side into monday and tuesday. 70, 77, by wednesday we get a agreeing break, plenty of sun and thursday and friday a slight chance for showers. then we cooldown. >> while most sports fans were thinking football golfers hit the links to celebrate essential athletes. dozens suited up. it's all part of the shriver day remembering the woman who founded the special olympics.

bob ehrlich pretends to be for the working guy... but he's not on our side. i thought i knew bob ehrlich, but then i found out... he raised property taxes on every maryland family... and business. he increased college tuition... by 40%. 40%. and i thought i knew bob ehrlich. he was against raising the minimum wage. made $2.5 million... working for a lobbying firm. $2.5 million? he's not really on my side. with this tough economy, we really need a governor on our side.
